Three-day International Conference on ‘Ensemble Methods in Modelling and Data Assimilation’ (EMMDA) From 24th February, 2020.

In order to provide a platform for discussions and deliberations on the present status, future prospects and optimum use of EPS, a three-day international conference on “Ensemble Methods in Modelling and Data Assimilation (EMMDA)” is being organised by NCMRWF,MoES from February 24, 2020 at NCMRWF, Noida, India. This international conference on EMDDA will be inaugurated by Dr.Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Science and Technology, Earth Sciences.

The major themes of the conference were:

CSIR-CDRI Scientist Dr. Niti Kumar gets SERB Women Excellence Award-2020

CSIR-CDRI Scientist Dr. Niti Kumar gets  SERB Women Excellence Award-2020. She will be honoured by the President of India on National Science Day (NSD) 2020, as this year’s theme for NSD is “Women in Science”. Dr Niti Kumar, Senior Scientist from Division of Molecular Parasitology and Immunology, CSIR-CDRI, Lucknow has received SERB Women Excellence Award-2020. Award will be conferred by the President of India during National Science Day Celebrations on February 28, 2020, in Vigyan Bhawan.

India earns 1 gold, 3 silver medals on 5th day of Asian Wrestling Championship.

On day 5 of the Asian Wrestling Championship in New Delhi, India earned one gold and three silver medals. In men’s freestyle 57 kg category, Ravi Dahiya won gold medal defeating Tajikistan’s Hikmatullo Vohidov by technical superiority in the final match at KD Jadhav Indoor Stadium. Earlier, India’s Bajrang Punia, Gourav Baliyan and Satyawart Kadian won silver medals after losing in their respective finals.
